We threw our swag in the boot and headed to Napier. When we felt a bit peckish we stopped at the tearooms for some gumboot. Shark and taties were on my list but Wm is allergic.  As for shopping, the op shops were closed for the holiday but we did find some antique shops to fossick about in. We stayed in a great bus within a cooee of the beach near Hastings &#8212; a romantic place for some snogging.
